Una canción perfecta: The National - I need my girl

The National es un grupo americano de rock formado en 1999. Matt Berninger, el cantante, puede presumir de su voz de barítono, pero tiene mucha suerte de su banda, ya que no toca ningún instrumento y para escribir las canciones se basa en lo que ellos componen, sin necesidad de tener una libreta llena de letras, según afirma. 

Su último trabajo, Trouble will find me (2013), es su sexto álbum de estudio, y fue uno de los discos más alabados de 2013 (En Pitchfork lo puntuaron con un 8.4, por ejemplo). En él, colaboran varios artistas de renombre: St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, Sufjan Stevens and Richard Reed Parry de Arcade Fire, entre otros. Es precisamente en el que se incluye la canción que escogí como canción perfecta para la radio y que también es el último single, I need my girl. El título y la letra tienen un carácter muy teenager, de dependencia absoluta hacia el amor, que se aleja de la sonoridad del tema, repleto de arreglos que hacen que suene muy maduro y nada adolescente.
